Job Description

The Digital Marketing Lead will play a vital role in their growth efforts. As you'd expect, South East Asia is a huge market for them with bigger opportunity - and China is where it's at.

This role is newly-created and, whilst they do a significant amount of their business in the region, this Digital Marketing Lead will scope out, engage and develop new business opportunities through online marketing channels.

You'll be expected to:

  • Identify the most productive digital channels via a test & learn approach
  • Work with the various offline teams - brand and sales in order to meet the APE target across the various business lines
  • Source and on-board local agencies, where required, to execute the online marketing strategy
  • Create and own the online acquisition strategy
  • Own planning and delivery of on-target, acquisition-led digital marketing channel performance
  • Optimise all digital response channel performance (PPC, display, social, SEO, affiliates, email marketing)
  • Administer the use of AI, data and analytics to identify and create opportunity for digital optimisation
  • Input into tools and technologies required to improve conversion performance
  • Ensure integration with the brand strategy and collaboration on creative development
  • Stay abreast of future digital marketing trends, business models and media consumption to enable commercial advantage
The Successful Applicant

Therefore its imperative the Digital Marketing Lead has a demonstrable track record of delivering in that environment.

You'll know your Baidu from your Badoo, and will understand that WeChat is for much more than checking whether your messages have been read.

More importantly, you'll understand how to harness the opportunities a much more digitally engaged customer base will provide for a B2B organisation - because business is the customer.

Whilst you expertise in the use of digital marketing to acquire B2B customers will be irrefutable, just as important is a flexible mind-set that is constantly learning and allows you to follow through and turning strategy into tangible success.

You'll need to have the following:

  • Experience of and executing delivery of campaigns across PPC,SEO, email and social media.
  • Experience of the Chinese market
  • Chinese language skills (ideally mandarin)
  • An understanding of data scientists/marketing analyst in order to drive effective marketing ROI
  • Effective collaboration, communication and influencing skills (particularly comfortable dealing with leadership)
  • Previous success in a fast paced, ever-changing, often pressurised environment
  • Performance driven approach to marketing
  • Advanced use and understanding of tools and technologies essential for performance analysis, forecasting and conversion optimisation
