Multi Media Project Manager

Description of duties

The Multi Media Project Manager will work with internal teams to plan and execute media projects and manage digital content for SPIE. These projects will include, but not be limited to, podcasting, video production, photography, webcasting, and emerging forms of online content sharing consistent with the strategic and operational objectives of the organization. The successful candidate must be effective working with staff, vendors, and volunteers on projects requiring multimedia expertise, including audio, video, and animation which result in web-based distribution of media content.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Assess project needs and document multimedia requirements effectively.
  2. Identify and collaborate with external vendors, as needed for content acquisition, production, or distribution.
  3. Create and collaborate on designs for media projects.
  4. Effectively work with internal stakeholders and a cross-departmental leadership team on diverse media projects.
  5. Digital asset management
  6. Coordinate projects with vendors and staff to organize media assets and develop multimedia products.
  7. Produce high-quality multimedia deliverables such as video interviews, online courses, promotional videos, photo montages, etc. efficiently
  8. Facilitate the quality assurance and testing of multimedia projects.
  9. Develop multimedia product documentation.

Full-time, 40 hours per week position available, with flexible work hours.

Compensation includes: Competitive wage, annual discretionary bonus, defined contribution retirement plan with additional company match and paid-time-off plan beginning at 31 days per year.

Education & Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree and 2 years of professional experience in related industry duties, or 4 years professional experience in a new media or multimedia planning and service role where expertise directly reflects the competencies and experience in essential responsibilities listed above.
