Summary DescriptionThe CAD Manager is responsible for managing the Design Department's workflow, delegating related tasks and tracking the work as performed in an expedient manner. The design department produces complete system 3D details along with manufacturing and customer drawings. The CAD Manger ensures corporate guidelines and best practices are met. ResponsibilitiesDirectly supervises a team of 7 to 8 drafters and designers to successfully complete projects on time including resource scheduling and workload forecasting.Quality check other drafter and designer work technically and against standards.Support production and manufacturing.Lead regularly recurring meetings with the design team to discuss current projects, standards, training, processes and encouraging team input.Manages and addresses employee performance and expectations as well as any employee concerns and escalates as needed.Oversees the training, mentoring and development of CAD staff and entry level Engineers in company procedures, CAD standards and related software.Maintains corporate drafting and production standards and processes in accordance with the company's strategic objectives, vision and mission. Compensation The salary range for the position of CAD Manager is up to $102,000 per year. Placement within the salary range will be based on the candidate's qualifications and experience. The copayment and coverage will depend on the plan you select. The Company contributes 50% of the Platinum Trio HMO Gold 30 for the employee only. The vacation rates are as follows: After the first year, 40 hours are available. After the second year, 40 hours are available. After the third year and all years following, 80 hours are available. Refer to the company handbook for details.Sick Pay An Employee who works for 30 or more days within a year from the beginning of employment is entitled to paid sick leave. An employee may use accrued paid sick days beginning on their 90th day of employment. Paid sick days are limited to 24 hours or three days in each year of employment. Refer to the company handbook for details.Holiday Pay The Company offers 7 paid holidays (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the Friday after and Christmas Day).
