Role Purpose Reporting to the Digital Optimisation Manager, the UX Designer will play an important role in creating usable and persuasive designs and web interfaces for mobile, tablet and desktop environments. You will work on projects with a team of front-end designers and work closely with key internal stakeholders to combine business strategies with qualitative and quantitative consumer behaviour to translate them into design opportunities . You will understand customer needs and behaviour and provide data- and behaviour-driven design recommendations to improve usability of the company's websites and user experience. The role would suit someone with a background in user experience who also possesses analytical skills allowing to surface customer behaviour trends. A good understanding of web design trends and web technology are essential. Knowledge of consumer psychology, cognitive psychology would be advantageous. Key tasks, responsibilities and accountabilities Help drive customer-facing front-end design with a team of front-end designers instilling culture of pixel-perfect UCD. Work with Digital Optimisation Manager to create wireframes and working prototypes for hypotheses testing. Own and evolve web brand guidelines for all Awaze UK sites, making it a single point of reference for designers from visual and technical perspective. Develop, curate and maintain a design systems and UI kits for Awaze UK and its brands. Working with Business Analysts and the Project team to define and shape projects from concept (wireframe) to completion (interactive prototype) and hand over to the design team. Helping plan, design and conduct user research and usability testing sessions to support development of the Awaze UK websites. Present findings and insights to the team and business stakeholders. Take concepts and low-fidelity designs through to releasable products. Share subject matter expertise with the E-commerce team.
